FILA Holdings to pay first-ever special dividend to strengthen shareholder return policy

- With long-term commitment to enhancing shareholder value, FILA Holdings emphasizes active shareholder return policy under five-year global strategy 'Winning Together’

FILA Holdings Corp. board has approved to pay out its first special dividend since its establishment under the company’s new shareholder-friendly policy.

FILA Holdings announced on Sept. 14 that it would close the shareholder register and confirmed the record date for the special dividends on Sept. 30 in accordance with Article 59 of the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act. The special dividend is to be paid during the business year, before the closing of accounts, and the decision was pushed as part of the shareholder return policy emphasized in the five-year global strategy ‘WINNING TOGETHER’ announced earlier this year for stakeholders. The specific amount of the dividend and the timing of the payment will be decided by the board of directors later, and accordingly, shareholders who hold FILA Holdings shares at the end of September will be entitled to receive the special dividend.

FILA Holdings is emphasizing its commitment to responsible management through active shareholder return policy under its ‘WINNING TOGETHER’ strategy. In this regard, based on stable cash flow, its dividend payout ratio was sharply raised from 8.0% in 2020 to 25.6% in 2021. In the future, the company plans to gradually raise its annual dividend payout ratio based on the net income of controlling shareholders and pay up to 600 billion won in shareholder returns over the next five years. FILA Holdings will continue its efforts to enhance shareholder value by actively sharing its investment performance with shareholders and establishing a stable and long-term investment environment.

"FILA Holdings approved the special dividend payment as the management showed strong will upon implementing global mid- to long-term strategies, based on the confidence in the company’s growth and shareholder-friendly policies," said an official from FILA Holdings. The official added, "We plan to continue to secure trust with shareholders through further activities that enhance shareholder value."
