FILA Group donates winter clothing to support earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria

- Priority on children’s products as 6,300 items of FILA and FILA KIDS cold weather clothing, valued at 1.52 billion won, are being sent to earthquake-hit areas, in addition to 20 million won raised by FILA Group executives and employees

FILA Holdings said on February 28th that it has joined global relief efforts in Türkiye and Syria by providing 6,300 items of winter clothing, valued at 1.52 billion won, and 20 million won in funds raised to help people struggling in areas devastated by earthquakes this month.

FILA Group decided to offer aid in the form of clothing, including a high proportion of kids’ products, to help surviving earthquake victims cope with cold weather. In addition, the group’s executives and employees voluntarily raised 20 million won in donation funds. The FILA and FILA KIDS clothing as well as the funds will be delivered to victims in Türkiye and Syria via Good Neighbors, a global NGO specializing in children's rights.

FILA Holdings’ corporate social responsibility strategy, established in 2019, focuses philanthropic efforts on children, water, and diversity. The company has consistently prioritized donations to children’s relief agencies and foundations. Children have been left especially vulnerable after major earthquakes struck Türkiye and Syria on Feb. 6 and Feb. 20 (both local time), losing parents or being separated from relatives.

"I express my deep condolences to Türkiye and Syria, which were greatly damaged by these sudden earthquakes,” said Geun-Chang (Kevin) Yoon, CEO and President of FILA Holdings. He added, “I hope that this contribution will provide at least a little help and comfort to those who are having a hard time."

Meanwhile, FILA Group is also preparing to provide relief to areas affected by this month’s earthquakes through the global non-profit organization Soles4Souls as soon as support measures are prepared.
